Vios is Cisco’s paid virtual IOS which supports both L2 and L3 images.
Required Files:
- First of all, 0x2142 bypasses the start-up config.so, in real life you should always have your registry to 0x2102. But that is not the problem in GNS3. You have to do this: Click ‘File New Project’ instead of ‘File Save’. Make sure ‘Export Router Configuration Files’ and ‘Keep working directory files’ are checked.
- There are many IOS images of different networks devices on the web, but some of them are the most used on GNS3, to do the networking exercises to practice or prepare CCNA, CCNA or even CCIE and real Labs of networking as if you were working with real network devices, since the images come with all the features supported, for example by a physical router or switch.
Hands-on labs running real Cisco IOS Software - Cisco Learning Labs for CCNA and CCNP Students Hello guys, It is possible to extract IOSv (IOS 15.4) from Cisco's onePK SDK 1.3.0 (with a devnet account) using Qemu or VirtualBox and run this image inside GNS3 through a Qemu or VirtualBox guest. Some clear advices on linux are available here, by Radovan Brezula or my own advices. Originally only emulating Cisco devices using software called Dynamips, GNS3 has now evolved and supports many devices from multiple network vendors including Cisco virtual switches, Cisco ASAs, Brocade vRouters, Cumulus Linux switches, Docker instances, HPE VSRs, multiple Linux appliances and many others.
